Dayton Aerospace was founded in 1984 and transitioned to the current Board of Directors management structure in 1999. Dayton Aerospace is a closely held corporation that is employee oriented; the Board relies heavily on employee inputs in exercising its management responsibilities. The Board of Directors is ultimately responsible for the oversight and supervision of all corporate affairs including strategic planning, business development, financial management, business investment, and recruiting. The Dayton Aerospace Board is unique in that most members are former Senior Associates and remain active consultants.
