Profile

Mr. Jeter is a seasoned industry professional with over 30 years of experience directing large, complex government and industry organizations in challenging programmatic, engineering, and test roles. As a United States Air Force (USAF) acquisition professional, he managed efforts in engineering, flight test, system development, and production. His specific government experience includes operational test of the joint direct attack munition (JDAM) and cruise missile on the B-52, leading the weapons portion of  USAF and the United States Navy (USN) variants of the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program, and generating the initial acquisition strategy for the Combat Rescue helicopter (HH-60W) that led to a successful contract award. Mr. Jeter's industry experience has covered the development, production, and sustainment of radar, electronics warfare, and electro-optical and infrared sensors (EO/IR) systems for Raytheon. Significant Career Accomplishments

  • Oversaw profit and loss for $1.2B portfolio across five-year plan for Gen 5 intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) radar and mission systems deployed onto six different aircraft. Portfolio covered development, production, and sustainment across three industry locations for over 450 personnel.

  • Requested by business unit president to take over portfolio and develop growth strategy and customer engagement plan to save the portfolio that failed under prior leadership. Portfolio covered internal research and development (R&D), development, production, and sustainment across multiple industry locations for over 300 personnel.

  • As the materiel leader for Combat Ready Helicopter (CRH), developed the acquisition strategy for the program and obtained USAF and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) approval. Successfully led the source selection and awarded the program without protest.

  • Supported the sale and support of all USAF defense articles via foreign materiel sales and direct commercial sales to the Netherlands MoD.  Main efforts included keeping the JSF support in the Dutch Parliament and brokering the initial sales of large aircraft infrared countermeasures (LAIRCM) and MQ-9.
